The Benefits of a Custom Fit Bike

Fitting a bicycle is a lot like a suit or a pair of shoes; what works for one body doesn’t always work for the next. We strive to fit our bicycles not only in frame size and bike style, but also to account for the rider’s flexibility and range of motion to achieve the most balanced and comfortable position.

Stock bicycles come with average length stems and average width handlebars that are meant to fit the average cyclist. By assessing your needs we can determine a position on the bike that fits your riding style by adjusting seat height, seat level and fore/aft position, bar height and width, etc. In all of our fitting services, we guarantee to help you feel more comfortable and efficient so you can get the most out of your cycling.

Pro Fit

If you’re back is screaming from reaching to grab the handlebars and your knees are aching from the position of your saddle, we can fix that. If you need to shave seconds off your race time, we can help you. Cyclesmith is one of the few Utah bike shops that have Fit Specialists. Our trained Fit Specialists can customize your bike to fit your specific body size and type. We understand that no two people look alike, so why ride a bike that isn’t built to contour to your body, and your body only?

Our Fit Specialist team understands how much you love to bike and we want your riding to be fun and pain free.  Come on down to the shop and talk to Scott, Marek, Justin, or Eric.  They will be glad to answer any questions you have on bike fit.   Or, call for a personal fit appointment (801.582.9870)…  Bring your bicycle, your shoes, and your riding gear.  A fit appointment will take about 90 minutes.  Cost on a Pro Fit is $150 and includes shoe and cleat alignment.  Having your bike adjusted to FIT you goes a long way toward better cycling enjoyment!  Let CycleSmith get you there!!
